Nicole Polonsky

Nicole Polonsky is a visual artist whose creative practice foregrounds matter that would otherwise be overlooked, marginalised or undervalued. Tourist-attraction signage, stationery, proofreading symbols, a cardigan handknitted by her mother, have all been mined by Nicole for literal and metaphorical readings. Her interventions are articulated as editioned prints, bookworks and multiples, acoustic pieces, performance, installation or film. Nicole has an MA Print from the Royal College of Art and collaborates with specialists from across other disciplines, devises group projects, curates exhibitions and writes about art for publication. Her work is held in public and private collections in the UK and overseas. It has been featured in art and design journals and the national press, as well as Thames & Hudson’s 'The Word is Art'.
