Marcia Teusink
Marcia Teusink is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores climate change, collapsing environments and regrowth. Born and raised in the USA, she has lived in the UK since 2008. Teusink has recent solo shows and commissions at the Botanical Gardens in Rome (2023) and Od Arts Festival in Somerset (2023). The artist curated and participated in a 3-person show at 195 Mare Street in Hackney, London (2023), called The Botanical Cabinet, and was included in group shows with International Body of Art, St Bartholomew’s Church and Terrace Gallery (all in London). She has participated in collaborative projects with other artists and artists’ groups in the UK, Poland, the USA and, soon, Iceland. Teusink has been awarded artists’ residencies at the Morris Graves Foundation and Kala Art Institute (California, USA), The Studios at MASSMoCA (Massachusetts, USA), PADA Studios/SLUICE (Barreiro, Portugal) and Unit 1 Gallery-Workshop (London, UK), and in 2025 she received a DYCP grant from Arts Council England. The artist holds an BA (Phi Beta Kappa) in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley, an MFA from the City University of New York at Queens College, and an MA in Museum Education from the Institute of Education, UCL. Her studio is in Stamford Hill, London.
