Isabel Diaz Catoni
I am a Chilean artist and printmaker based in London. I create work from my spatial experiences of architecture, constructing surreal compositions as afterimages that evolve through printmaking. Originally trained as an architect in Santiago, I worked in the field for several years, which made me realise that many spaces are made for profit rather than people. This led me to pursue an MA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins (UAL), where I deepened my interest in spatial experience through psychogeography and photo-based collage. After completing my degree in 2021, I moved to Toronto and developed a body of work at Open Studio, the city’s largest printmaking centre, aiming to reflect Toronto’s urban life and its architectural identity as a highly structured, capital-oriented city. Now back in the UK since September 2025, I am dedicating myself full time to growing my artistic career, seeking exhibition opportunities and artist residencies to establish my practice in London.
