Riccardo Iacono
Riccardo Iacono is a London based artist working across media including drawing, performance, film, video, photography, installation and print. He studied Painting at Glasgow School of Art and Electronic Imaging at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. His works have shown widely including Channel 4, European Media Art Festival, Osnabruuck and A Century of Artists Films in Britain, Tate Britain. He has received commissions and funding from the Arts Council, Channel 4, BBC, STV, Scottish Screen. Solo shows include: The No Show, Castlefield Gallery, Manchester; This Orientation, Summit Gallery, Hackney Wick; Love Songs From a Dark Body, La Enana Marron, Madrid; Ice in The Freezer, Pleasuredome, Toronto; From Memory, Kino Oko, Prague. He was artist in residence at Acme Fire Station 2005 -10, Lucca Film Festival, 2007, and London College of Communications 2007. He was a judge of the abstract film section of London International Animation Festival 2015. Many of his early 16mm and 35mm films were made at the London Film Makers Coop using optical and contact printing techniques. At East London Printmakers he works predominantly with screenprinting,
