Carolyn Murphy

Carolyn Murphy’s work explores human landscapes and our connection with the environments we share. She works mainly from her home studio in Manchester and graduated with an MA in Fine Art Printmaking from Middlesex University in 2024. Carolyn uses a range of printmaking techniques to explore themes including fragility, decay, loss and renewal. She exhibits regularly in group exhibitions. Highlights include the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2025 and 2023, Bloomsbury Festival 2023, Bankside Gallery, Mandell’s Gallery (Norwich), Towneley Hall (Burnley), Bury Art Museum and The Whitaker (Rossendale). Her first solo exhibition ‘Layer over Layer’ was at The Stone Space in Leytonstone in Feb / March 2025. Carolyn is a member of the Printmakers Council, Prospect Printmakers and Fankle Art Collective. She is an AA2A artist in residence at the University of Chester 2024/25.
