Ann Norfield

Ann Norfield is an artist and teacher, working as an arts educator across all age groups. She is a founding member of East London Printmakers Studio and continues to work and teach there. Her book Etching - an artist's guide is published by Crowood. She has exhibited widely in the UK and also abroad, work being held in permanent collections in London and Germany. Happy to engage with a range of materials and processes, Ann uses a variety of media to express the tenuous nature of our hold on life. Vulnerabilities and uncertainties, disintegrations and fractured security are seen and held still in these pieces. Her work is the result of an open discussion between the artist and materials, processes and imagery.
