Artist Statement

Art reflects you as the person you are,I work in a broard range of media and genres,because I think you get the best results,when you do what you like most,and linocut has been my favorite for many years

My art is expressive,naturalistic and often contains lyrical content.I like to weight my work with strong
contrasts between black and white and colour.My sublect of matter ranges from animals,flowers and
figures mainly portraiture.

Inga Eicaite


Inga Eicaite is a contemporary printmaker dividing her practice between London and Vilnius. 

Deeply influenced by Bauhaus and Constructivism movements, she explores the notion of space/cosmos.

Deconstructing heavenly bodies, their linear structures and then putting them back together in new constellation systems. She focuses on observation how it could affect imaginary surroundings, the possible abnormal shifts when nature is going through the cosmic event.

Mostly working in black and white, she is now studying mokuhanga, to reach more depth and introduce colour into her works.

Maggie Henton

Maggie Henton studied at Chelsea School of Art, and at Middlesex where she gained an MA in Architecture and Spacial Culture.

Much of her work is developed in response to specific sites. She has a particular interest in architectural spaces and in how places are constructed and inhabited. She also makes works in response to museum collections. Working methods included; drawing, stitch, print making, photography, mixed media constructions and installations.

Her prints usually begin with photographs which are reworked and redrawn, before being translated into screenprints.

Christopher Pearson

Christopher Pearson is a contemporary artist working between printmaking and sculpture.

Currently, Pearson is producing new work at East London Printmakers using collagraph, carborundum, monoprint, viscosity, etching, and chine-collé processes.

In a nutshell, Pearson’s conceptual concerns comprise alchemy and transformation, time and rhythm, materiality and performativity, and the relationship between surface and substrate.

Pearson is an MA Fine Art graduate from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London (2017-19) and a BA (Hons) Art & Design graduate from the University of Leeds (2013-17).

Emma McArthur

Artist Bio

Emma is an artist with a day job in book publishing. She made a drawing a day for the whole of 2018 and 2019, something that started as an exercise to help concentration and help to form her artistic identity through practice. However, over time her daily drawings have developed into explorations of the physical form, identity and structure. From evolving her own original life drawings, and moving much deeper into the structure that makes up each of us, she is able to show their beauty and fragility. Identity has played a part in much of her work through illustrations, screen prints and lino printing, and continues to mature each day through her practice.
Her work has featured in the Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine in 2019.

Shivangi Ladha

Artist Bio

Shivangi is a visual artist & holds her specialization in MA Printmaking, Royal College of Art, London.
She works intensively in the medium – drawing, printmaking & her works questions the true identity of
our beloved human race. She is recipient of several awards like, Visiting Artist In Residence Award, ‘SNAP’,
Canada 2019, Artist Development Residency Award, ‘IPCNY’ 2018, Anthony Dawson Young Printmaker Award,
‘RE’ 2017 & ‘Jerwood Drawing Prize’ 2014. Her works has been exhibited Internationally and also part of a
permanent collection at British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Royal College of Art’s & Print Archives,
London and Mead Museum, U.S.A.

Julia da Mota

Artist Bio

I live and work in São Paulo, Brazil. Before getting an MFA at the University of São Paulo, I studied Architecture at the same University. I am deeply influenced by the Brazilian Modernist and Concrete Art movements, as well as the great masters of Brazilian brutalism in architecture. My artistic research is based on the representation of man-made space and landscape, and the boundaries present in such spaces. I seek basic units of architectural effect, relating spatial materialization as a representation of social relations present in the city itself —the boundaries between public and private, external or internal; between built and empty spaces; between the acts of passage and permanence.
I have always been very intimate with printmaking processes, having worked with woodcuts, copperplate etchings, monotypes, lithographs, silkscreen printing, and bookmaking techniques; as well as drawing, painting, and photography. My most recent works are linked to the act of repetition as a creative process in printmaking and painting, to create visual narratives around themes such as space, urban landscape, and architecture.

Jeremy Bevan

Artist Bio

Brought up in the Sussex countryside Jeremy now lives in Bowes Park, although he also spends time near the North Norfolk coast. With a background as a gardener, his art work is based on observational drawings of natural forms, urban and rural landscapes, plants, fruit and everyday objects.

Jeremy makes prints using mainly lino printing, but also screen printing and mono printing. He is also a painter and recently started to use an iPad to create digital artworks.

Most of his linocut prints are created in his garden studio in Bowes Park on a home-made printing press. Larger work and screen prints are made at East London Printmakers in Mile End.

The screen prints are made with both paper stencils and photo emulsion plates

The linocut prints are mostly made by conventionally cutting sheets of lino, but the latest prints also incorporate layers which have been etched with caustic soda, giving a looser and more textured feel to the final print.
