Course Leader: Amanda Taylor

Tetrapak Printing

This workshop is an opportunity to have a bit of fun with recycled packaging – materials that are easy to obtain and affordable and have a low environmental impact and the techniques taught in this class are quick and effective.   It is a fun and experimental one day workshop.  Packaging used can include biscuit, tea, cereal and medication boxes or cartons such as soya milk.  Different types of tapes can be used, the surface of the cardboard can be peeled off using a craft knife and etching needles can be used to distress the surface and add texture.  The boxes are flattened and then inked and printed using the same technique as etching or collagraph.

Skill level

This course is suitable for those with some experience of collagraphs or for those who want a refresher in collagraph printmaking techniques.
