Alice Irwin: Playground Adventures

Join East London Printmakers on the 3rd September for an insightful talk around the playful works of RCA graduate, Alice Irwin where she will be discussing indepth her practice as an Artist and her experiences as a Printmaker.

Alice Irwin is an award-winning RCA graduate and recently had a solo exhibition at The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, followed by shows at the Flowers Gallery, Sid Motion Gallery, CGP London, and also at East of Elsewhere in Berlin. In 2017, she won the Contemporary Art Trust prize. Irwin works with layering in print and translates this perspective into sculpture, pushing the boundaries of art and craft whilst combining the traditional with the contemporary. Alice Irwin’s work questions human identity through the eyes of a child’s playful innocence, providing both a tactile and thought-provoking experience.
