Workshop Description

Starting with a simple black and white design over the course of the three weeks the projects will develop according to each individual; incorporating the use of colour, mark makingĀ and format.

Accurate Kento registration
The use of an Albion relief press
The use of an etching press
The safe use of linocut tools
How to print using a baren or wooden spoon
Plus a wealth of professional printmakers tips and secrets.

Description of requirements

This workshop is design for beginners. You may find it helpful to bring along image materials either in the form of a sketch book, cut outs or your iPad.

What you will achieve by the end

By the end of this workshop you will understand how to safely and confidently cut Lino with the appropriate tools and how to operate an Albion Press to print your image.
