Nick Morley

Nick Morley is an artist and illustrator. His idiosyncratic and wryly humourous take on the human condition manifests itself through drawings, prints and books.

The major themes in Nick’s work are human achievement and man’s struggle to understand and control the world around him.

Nick has exhibited widely across the UK and abroad. His work has been featured on BBC2 in a documentary about the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in which it was picked out as a favourite by comedian Vic Reeves. Illustration clients include The Times, Icon magazine, Folio Society, Penguin books and Faber & Faber.

Having served ELP for several years in various roles, including 18 months as Chair of the ELP committee, Nick relocated to Margate in July 2011. He continues to teach at ELP and play an active role in exhibitions as a member.

Nick has a particular passion for linocut, which he promotes through workshops, curated exhibitions, talks and his Linocutboy blog
