Liz Collini


I make texts which explore the gaps and overlaps between reading and looking, text and image, the hand and the machine and knowing and not-knowing.

Graduated from Middlesex (Fine Art 2005) and the Royal College of Art (Printmaking 2007). Work has been shown at the Curwen Gallery (2008), the Bloomberg Space (2008), in the Northern Print Biennial (2009) and at the Royal Academy Summer Shows, 2009 (prize for drawing) and 2010. Jointly curated a major show of extended printmaking in Lisbon in 2010 (…and then again…).  Participant in the Bury International Text Festivals 2009 and 2011. Solo shows in the Tricycle Theatre (2008) and Hornsey’s Original Gallery (2009). During 2011, a site-specific, commissioned piece has been installed in the V&A Prints and Drawings Study Room as a permanent feature. Work is also held by Penguin Books.
