Hurrah! Christmas is approaching and what a year it’s been!
We’ve been really busy here at ELP with loads of events, artist talks, workshops and more
Huge thanks to everyone that got involved at the studio this year and made the year so fantastic.
We’re excited to have seen so many people wanting to come and get stuck in to print.

Bring on 2015!

Etching Courses at ELP

2015 – The year of Etching!

We’ve got a fantastic new calendar of etching courses available in 2015 taught by some of our most experience tutors, Dolores de Sade, Katy Goutefangea and Helen Ashton!

Etching is a beautiful and versatile process with a long and varied history. You can achieve great detail, richness and texture. Our Etching for Beginners course will give you hands on experience and an insight into the possibilities of the process.
It’s a great introduction to the process and it will give you enough confidence to work independently at ELP.
Course starts 21st January. For more information and to book please click here.

Box Set 2014

Every year ELP members have the opportunity to participate in the ELP Annual Box Set. It is an edition of prints, printed using your chosen printing process, all of which are on the same size paper, provided and cut lovingly by John Purcell.
This year is the biggest to date with 59 artists participating and two box sets! Eliza Southwood has kindly done the artwork for the box set lids and they look great! Thanks Eliza!

Back in late November we celebrated the completion of the finished editions with the traditional box filling. The artists gathered in the studio to fill their boxes with their lovingly crafted prints. It’s a great way of sharing ideas and exchanging artwork as well as raising funds for ELP.
Once they are all done, a box will be given to the V&A and to John Purcell Paper!

We were delighted once again at the really high standard of work and both sets covered a wide variety of printing processes.
We’d like to say a big thank you to every one who participated and helped organise it!

Keep an eye out on the V&A Collections website, here, where you’ll be able to view the ELP Box Sets in their online collection in due course!
