Awarded a Fine Art degree at The Cass School of Art, part of London Metropolitan University.

Alice Valentina Biga

Alice Valentina Biga was born in London in 1987. At an early age she moved to her father’s hometown of Cuneo, Italy. In 2010 she completed a BA degree in Fine Arts at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, where she discovered most of the printmaking techniques she uses today. Etching is the technique she experiments with most, and which she uses to investigate the theme of the necessity of memory in relation to death. In September 2012 she exhibited her work in the Postgraduate Show at Camberwell College of Arts to complete her MA degree in Printmaking. Simultaneously she exhibited at the Mall Galleries as part of Bite: Artists making prints.

Rhed Fawell

I am interested in using collage, drawing and finally screen printing to explore the deconstruction of images and a process of re-assemblage to create a poetical narrative. I take inspiration from nature and from the human form, focusing on human fragility.

The pictures create their own stories, as I work on them they take on a life of their own, forming narratives that are completed in the viewer’s imagination.

BA Hons (Fine Art 1997) Middlesex University/Cooper Union NY.

Alongside my studio practice I am also a senior Lecturer at Middlesex University on the Graphics course.
