Diana Ashdown

Diana‘s work explores natural forms, falling shadows are like fleeting and transient prints, in capturing them onto lino, she is exploring treasured memories of memorable events and places visited. Finding her Mothers old flower press, containing alpine flowers from distant times led her to create Collected Memories.

The print Lochranza – Arran, is part of her exploration of trees struggling against the elements, created using sharp cut lines and overlayed with transparent colours.

Diana has taught printmaking and mixed crafts at local colleges and taken commissions for soft furnishings, graphic design projects, wall murals and screen prints.

Diana is an active member of the Oxford Print Co-Operative, the Beds Bucks & Herts Print Society and the Oxford Art Society.

Currently studying for an M.A Printmaking at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
