ELP is committed to supporting artists' professional development: internationally renowned artists visit the ELP studio to demonstrate their skills and run workshops for experienced printmakers. These workshops are open to ELP members only.

Simultaneous colour printmaking

Workshop leader: Hector Saunier (and assistant Shu-lin Chen)

Three-day workshop

Cost: £80 per person (including materials).

A one-off three-day workshop to support artists' professional development. Hector Saunier is the Director at Parisian experimental etching studio Atelier Contre Point.

Note: this workshop is not suitable for beginners.

Collograph and mxed-media printmaking

Workshop leader: Brenda Hartill RE

One day visit, East Sussex

Cost: £30 per person (including transport).

This is a one-off residential workshop which will take place at Brenda Hartill RE's East Sussex studio. Brenda Hartill RE has over thirty years of printmaking experience and exhibits internationally. She recently left London to relocate her studio in East Sussex. The visit will include a print demonstration, an illustrated lecture and an open portfolio session, followed by afternoon tea and an opportunity to purchase prints at a 20% discount.

Textile printing

Workshop leader: Dawn Dupree

Cost: £30

Dawn Dupre is a visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths College and senior print tutor at The London Printworks Trust. She has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, creating commissions for both public and private locations. The workshop will involve experimenting with a range of translucent and opaque printing materials onto various fabrics. Using both empty and photographically-exposed silk-screens, methods of printing and layering with stencils/resists/textures/structures etc will be explored.

Workshop participants should prepare a photosilk-screen prior to the workshop and should bring a selection of fabrics they wish to print on, some black and white photocopies of the designs on their photosilk-screen and apron/gloves. Other materials will be supplied.

Workshop leader: Angus Wade, Artizan Editions

Cost: £30

Artizan Editions is one of only a few screenprint workshops working in direct collaboration with artists to produce limited edition original prints. For more information visit Artizan's website www.artizaneditions.co.uk
